Steampunk - Beadpunk



You must be a member of the Indiana Bead Society to enter.

The Challenge:

Do something with your collection of trinkets, jewels, keepsakes and art charms. Make something with all of those new and old memories. Make a necklace, bracelet, earrings, or art piece.

If you are new to steampunk or need a refresher, watch this short video, Mixed Media Steam Punk Style Jewelry with Jean Campbell. Jean shows how to make a focal component and then afterward gives a really good description of what steampunk is and shows examples of some components.

Also, the current issue of Bead Style Magazine is full of steampunk ideas.

Deadline

Judging and voting will be done at our December 15th Holiday Party meeting.

There will be four prizes awarded:

1. Best Interpretation of the Theme – There will be one judge for this category. First prize will be free tuition to an IBS Visiting Artist Workshop class.

2. Members Choice – Spring Workshop, 1 Full Day Class

3. Most Creative – Spring Workshop, 1 Half Day Class

4. Most Unusual Component – IBS Annual Membership
