The Project:

These hollow beaded balls are made with peyote stitch and are based on the geometric sphere called an icosahedron. These delightful balls feature the patterns and colors of Japanese Temari Balls, a traditional Japanese folk-art made with thread wound in patterns around a ball. Although the patterns appear complex, they are not difficult. This is a chance to explore color palettes and see the effects of combining patterns. Wear the ball alone on a chain or add a tassel. Several patterns will be available or you can make up your own.
