The Program:

I am aware that I have been telling you that the November meeting would be wirework. However I recently had the opportunity to acquire some vintage (Circa 1970) Swarovski octagon shaped mirror backed crystals which caused me to change my mind. We will continue with the peyote technique to bezel this very interesting crystal. Because the crystal is eight sided, we will learn the technique to use for corners. You have my apologies for a less than acceptable photo. It's very difficult to photograph a mirror which is what is on the back of the crystal.

Kit Cost / Supplies:

Please bring: All crystals are blue (all that was available) so please bring light blue beading thread, beeswax, Size 12 beading needle, bead pad and embroidery scissors.

PLEASE REMEMBER

The December meeting will be on the second Wednesday. Don't forget to be making your wire or beadwork charms for the December party exchange. We suggest that you bring 15 charms to exchange.

BE ON THE LOOKOUT

If you are interested in teaching at the Spring Workshop, be on the lookout for an application. The Education Committee will be publishing one soon. You must submit your project and the written pattern to be juried by the committee.

A NEW YEAR APPROACHES

After November we will have completed our study of the Peyote stitch and the Brick stitch techniques. Look for some new techniques such as square stitch possibly. I am still studying the surveys you completed early last year to see what will be the best use of our time to reach the need of the most people.
