The Artist:

Fiber artist, Carol Cypher, teaches beadwork and feltmaking and the provocative pairing of the two, in the U.S.A., Japan, Australia and Europe. She is author of MASTERING BEADWORK: A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO OFF-LOOM TECHNIQUES. In addition to her HAND FELTED JEWELRY AND BEADS: 25 ARTFUL DESIGNS and HOW WE FELT: DESIGNS AND TECHNIQUES FROM CONTEMPORARY FELT ARTISTS, she wrote a Japanese book on feltmaking, published by Patchwork Tsushin LTD from an English manuscript, translated by Motoko Natsubori.

Carol has exhibited in the U.S.A., Japan and Scotland. Her articles and designs appear in several books and magazines in the U.S.A., Australia, Japan and Europe. TV appearances include PBS’s Beads, Baubles and Jewels and D.I.Y. network’s Uncommon Threads and Knitting Daily/Shay Pendray’s Needle Arts Studio. She enjoys her reputation as an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and generous teacher, offering fresh and contemporary approaches. Please read each description carefully because some classes have a kit fee and others have a supply list. All skill levels are welcome at Friday and Saturday’s classes. Sunday’s class is intermediate skill level.

 

 

Registration:

These are IBS co-sponsored and subsidized workshops open to IBS members only. There are 18 seats in each class for IBS members. Your registration form and payment check must be mailed as designated on the form. There are only 18 places so register early. This is “first come, first placed” event determined by the postmark on your registration.

Lunch:

There is a one-hour lunch break in the middle of the day. Please bring your lunch (there is a fridge you may use at the library). Restaurants are nearby; however, bringing a lunch will save time.
